Philosophy of Practice

We meet in the sessions as equal people. Each with the live that we have lived that puts us in the same room together. You know your life better than me. So why come to me-- my experience and education. People have been kindly filling my brain with information on how to best help people move from one place to a better one in their lives. This has included formal education but also those who have mentored me in activities and relationships throughout my life. So, I consider the work a collaboration in which I am a well informed guide, but you know the journey you have made and where you want to be.

A newer element to psychological treatment is acknowledging that people are resilient and have strengths to move themselves forward and they are always solving problems

How do I get the most for the least? How should I get there? What should I say?

At times the perception of the problem or the solution we have tried make things worse, but we are definitely trying to solve a problem. The treatment and support are to assist you in achieving a successful solution. A life improved.  Progress is not always comfortable, but it is usually better than remaining stuck.
