I have been a licensed psychologist since 2004. After Graduating from Tokay High School in Lodi II then completed an AA with an ephaisis in psychology at San Joaquin Delta College followed by a Bachelor of Science degree with a biological emphasis from UC Davis, and a doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology, Sacramento. Additional course work in psychology was completed at California State University Sacramento and the Professional School of Psychology. I have additional training in DBT and neuropsychological assessment.
I have worked in a variety of environments including a video arcade, a hardware store, two universities, a historic cemetery, a community mental health agency focused on substance abuse. a treatment program for teens who had made suicide attempts, a rural state prison, and private practice. While in private practice, I have consulted in diversity training for UC Davis Psychiatry residents, supervised and educated doctoral students in psychological assessment and professional practice.
My clientele have range in age from 10 to 85 years of age. Diagnosis have been across the spectrum from issues of personal growth to severe mental illness including psychotic disorders. I have worked with the diversity of the Sacramento community to include all levels of education, sexuality and gender, ethnicity, income, occupation, religion , and spirituality. Most recently work in the California prison system added the quality of incarceration or previously incarceration and former and current gang status to the range.
I have an active hobby life which changes over time but has included knife and bow making, karate, juggling, wood carving and turning, running, general auto repair, pond building, gardening, bubble blowing, 3D printing, basic violin and ukulele, and flying and building kites.
